Because it’s completely unrealistic to eat that way for the rest of your life. Like all fad diets, I did really well while I was doing it until the second I realized I couldn’t eat in such a highly specific way forever…so I started eating the way I had been again and gained all the weight back and then some. Textbook fad dieting.

EDIT: and make sure you really want to live in Manhattan
EDIT2: make sure you really want to go to a women’s collge
Barnard is so so radically different from NYU, trust me. I know this just based on a few conversations I’ve had with my NYU friends and the time I’ve spent downtown. If I were you, I would miss downtown Manhattan as well because it’s such a great area and Morningside Heights (especially when compared to the Village), leaves a bit to be desired sometimes. But clearly you’re not happy there, and the point of going to college is to go to that school…not just live in a cool area. Not to mention you can always hop on the subway and go back downtown if you’re missing it! So will Barnard be the right college for you? That I cannot say, but I can tell you that it is a fantastic place with a tremendous amount to offer…(*ahem* many may say with much more to offer than NYU). And don’t forget you will have access to all the awesome things going on at Columbia.
